When you book through Rodavia, the process splits into two parts: an advance payment online to confirm your reservation, and the remaining balance at the rental counter. The local company handles the second part directly, and your voucher will specify which methods they accept.

Booking Advance Online

We accept international credit cards to secure your reservation. Visa and Mastercard work across all bookings. The advance covers part of the total amount and locks in your confirmed rate. You'll receive a voucher by email immediately after payment clears.

Balance and Deposit at the Counter

The rental company collects the remaining amount when you pick up the vehicle. They also handle the refundable deposit according to the insurance option and vehicle type shown in your voucher.

Many counters in Phuket, Bangkok, and Pattaya accept debit cards and cash alongside credit cards. Some locations require credit cards for the deposit hold. Your confirmation document lists the exact methods available at your chosen branch, so review it before arrival.

Check Your Voucher

Payment terms vary between rental companies. The voucher displays the advance already paid, the balance due on-site, and accepted methods for both. If the local partner requires a credit card for the deposit but you only have a debit card, contact them directly using the phone number on your confirmation. Address questions about specific card types or cash limits the same way - the operator at the counter has the final answer.

Currency at Thailand counters is Thai Baht. ATMs are widely available at airports and in resort areas.
